Tritons Dominate in AF1 Debut: Corpus Christi Crushes Salina Liberty 40-12

by Corpus Christi Tritons

In their home opener for the 2025 and their inaugural game in the AF1 League,  the Corpus Christi Tritons delivered a message to Salina and the rest of the teams that they were to stay - defeating the Salina Liberty 40-12.

The Tritons set the tone early, with an interception by Isaiah McFarland and an easy 15 yard run to a touchdown, giving the Tritons an early 6-0 lead in the first 2 minutes. The team continued to dominate, extending their lead to 33-0 by halftime.

Defensively, the Tritons were equally impressive, limiting the Liberty to just 12 points throughout the game. This dominant defensive effort ensured that Salina struggled to find any offensive rhythm, underscoring Corpus Christi's balanced approach on both sides of the ball.

This victory not only marks a successful start to the Tritons' season but also positions them as a formidable contender in the AF1 league. Fans and analysts alike will be keen to see if Corpus Christi can maintain this high level of play in the coming weeks.
